We
will discuss with our clients all the details about the timing
of the work, cost of materials, fees and prices, and the payment
schedule, either in person, or by phone, or by e-mail. After
agreeing on them we will sign a contract of work.
For
more information, please, have a look on the "Terms
and Conditions" .
The
main activities of RETHEY TEAM are bodywork modifications and
building-in of rollcages.
Each
sports car or race car type has its own minimum requirements
concerning the rollcage applicable, clearly expressed by its
homologation certificate. Older cars usually have more simple
rollcages, built with less elements. In any case, it is not
worth sparing kilos of weight, because the rollcage not only
protects the occupants of the cabin in case of rollover, but
also gives strength, resistance and adhesion to the whole bodywork.
Some extra kilos of weight offer more durability and better
performance on the track.
Discounts:
In case of contracts for big volume of work (eg. complete overhaul
of bodywork), we may give some price reduction of 5-10%, depending
on the nature of work to be done and the total value of order.
Our offer of discount varies in each individual case!

For the embedding of a rollcage we usually have to dismantle
the bodywork of the sports car, but we leave it on the chassis
for being able to move it within the workshop. We undertake
all this dismantling and assembly.
The regulations that apply on modifications and the statical
considerations do not leave much space for originality, but
we aim to provide the best possible performance for money ratio.
We offer to do the required amendments and modifications, or
offer to help if our client wish to have them done elsewhere..
For the work to be proper, correct, according to the standards
and regulations, the bodywork has to be in good condition. This
is particularly important for the points of mount-and-fix. If
these points need to be reinforced, we tell the client and offer
to do the repairs..

For
embedding the rollcage we need to have readily available the
following parts, pieces, elements of the sports car:
-
Doors: we need them
in order to estimate the position of the side elements (rollbars)..
-
Dashboard frame: according
to the regulations, the rollcage can be welded on this frame
or bar. So, if we want to keep and use it, it has to be close
at hand.
-
Dashboard: for reasons
of mounting the original dashboard later on and connecting
the electrical and mechanical instruments again after embedding
the rollcage, we have to take it into account. Of course,
the aim is to adhere to the rules with the least possible
"re-sizing" of the dashboard. If the client want
it, we undertake to mount back to place the dashboard, too.
-
Instruments: All those
instruments connected to the dashboard or positioned behind
it (like electrical connections and switches, radiator switches
and openings, windscreen wipers, etc) may be re-positioned
and re-mounted in more convenient place after incorporating
a rollcage to the bodywork.
-
Seats: the seat-holding
frame is homologised together with the rollcage, so it is
recommended to built them in together. For the final alignment
with the seat, we may need the seat, too. In case of head-protector
seats, it is necessary to have the seat, because the side
elements of the rollcage next to the head may cause difficulties
mounting the seat itself.
